If you have received a fine in your trip summary, it means you may have returned the bike outside an official station. In these cases, an additional fee for improper return is applied. However, you can avoid this charge by following these steps:
-
Check the fine
If you see a fine in your trip summary, it means the bike was not returned to an official station. You can review the details of your trip in the rental history within the app or through your account on the website. -
Retrieve the bike
To avoid the fine, go back to where you left the bike and rent it again. Do not attempt to do this remotely, as the lock will open automatically. -
Return the bike properly
Once you have the bike, take it to an official station and follow the correct return process. -
Fine removed
If the bike is correctly returned to an official station, the system will merge both rentals, and the fine will be removed. The final fee will be calculated from the start of the first rental until the final return, including the time between both. If merging results in a higher cost, both trips will remain separate.
If you have any questions about the final charges, you can check your rental history in the app.
